As a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) and the Obesity Medical Association (OMA), He is passionate about staying at the forefront of modern healthcare practices. His goal is to foster strong doctor-patient relationships and deliver patient-centered care, tailored to your unique needs.
Our Story
Dr. Awad embarked on a remarkable journey in the field of medicine. Having completed his medical education at Alexandria Medical School in Alexandria, Egypt, he ventured across continents, relocating with his family to the bustling state of Texas. There, he immersed himself in the world of cardiovascular research, showcasing an insatiable thirst for knowledge and a commitment to enhancing healthcare. His path eventually led him to the prestigious Mount Sinai South Nassau, Oceanside, NY, where he completed a residency in Family Medicine.
After finishing his residency, Dr. Awad's journey in the medical field continued to flourish. He took the next significant step by joining the esteemed Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai as an associate physician. This new chapter allowed him to blend his extensive medical knowledge and practical experience gained during his residency with the cutting-edge research and patient care opportunities at the renowned institution.
However, driven by a strong desire to give back to the community where it all began, Dr. Awad made the heartfelt decision to return to Texas. There, he aspired to apply his expertise and dedication to improving the lives of those in his community. With unwavering commitment, he founded Grace Health Direct Primary Care, a testament to his vision of accessible and compassionate healthcare."

Linda Ibarra
Linda is a dedicated medical assistant at Grace Health DPC, where she takes pride in providing the best patient experience. She has had the pleasure of working alongside Dr. Awad and is passionate about her role in patient care. One of her favorite tasks at the clinic is drawing blood, which has earned her the affectionate nickname
"Lady D" (short for Lady Dracula).
Outside of work, she cherishes spending time with her husband and family, as family is an essential part of her life. Whether at the clinic or at home, she is committed to making a positive impact on those around her.

The desire to deliver patient-centered care has led Anna to Grace Health DPC. In her free time, Anna loves to spend her money on sweet treats and collectibles, keeping the memories in her scrapbook.
